Why this site is just a folder of HTML
I have tried three static site generators over the years. Each one worked well until I came back after six months and the build no longer ran.
So this site is a folder. Each post is a hand-written HTML file, there is one stylesheet, and the web server just serves files. Nothing to update, nothing to break.
The cost is that adding a post means editing the index by hand. For a few posts a year, that is fine.
